Couple belonging to different religions attacked

  • Grievously injured ​​​youth admitted to hospital, attackers nabbed

Ullal: In an incident that took place within the jurisdiction of Ullal police, a couple belonging to different religions, who had come to a private hospital in Deralakatte have been attacked by miscreants. The seriously injured youth has been admitted to a hospital while the assailants have been nabbed by the police.

Two youths and a lady from Thrissur in Kerala,  had arrived at the hospital to visit a patient and later when they had gone to a hotel nearby for snacks, a team of assailants attacked them.

According to the available information, one of the hotel staffs had informed an anti-social element from Madani Nagar about the couple following which the gang arrived. The gang later abducted them and assaulted.

Ullal police have arrested Lukman and his associates in connection to this attack.

The condition of the grievously injured boy is said to be critical.

Interestingly, the Ullal police have only registered an assault case.
