Couple end life in a lodge at Belthangady

Belthangady: A married couple from Haveri committed suicide at a lodge in Dharmasthala near here this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Mrityunjaya (60) and his wife Netravathi. The couple had come to Dharmasthala in their car along with their driver two days ago.

It has been reported that, the couple visited Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha temple here on Monday. However, the two cancelled their plans and decided to stay back here. When calls were not being answered, the driver informed the lodge authorities. When the room door was opened the two were found dead.

The couple have left behind a death note stating that they were fed up with the current political scenario as well as the cash distribution.

A case has been registered in Dharmasthala police station.
