Couple from Sringeri end lives at lodge

Kundapur: A married couple from Sringeri was found dead in a lodge at Kundapur on Sunday, September 30th. Apparently the couple had committed suicide. The deceased have been identified as Gurumurthy (43) from Sringeri and Sharada (30) from Koppa.
It is understood that the deceased couple were in an illicit relationship. Gurumurthy is married and has two children. Sharada who is also married has an 8-year-old daughter.
The incident
On September 26th, the deceased lovers checked into Hotel Hariprasad in Kundapur. They claimed to be husband and wife and provided ID proof and stayed in a room. On Sunday, the room boy found the couple lying dead in the room.
The police were informed immediately and their ID proof was seized. Eventually, it came to light that on September 27th, a missing complaint was filed by family of Sharada. After confirming about the complaint from Shringeri police, Kundapur police informed the incident to the families of the deceased.
The couple committed suicide by consuming poison and their mortal remains have been sent for post mortem. Kundapur police have registered a case.
