Mulki: A hotelier was beaten up for allegedly serving kebabs which was not upto the mark here at Karnad.
It has been reported that a Imran and his wife from Haleyangadi ordered kebabs at Zinda Biriyani Point, Karnad. After eating the kebabs, the couple complained to the hotel owner, Mohammed Zameer that the served kebab was not good and asked him to give them tikka. In reply to their complaint, Zameer said, “There is no need of saying that the quality of kebab is not good. I will give you tikka if you wish.” Imran who got wild by this statement of Zameer, started arguing which further led to a fight.
Imran’s wife was allegedly involved in the fight and beat him up with her sandals. The locals who saw this came running to the rescue of the hotel owner and prevented the couple from beating Zameer.
When the Mulki police visited the spot, they asked the couple to report to the police station.
However, the issue was closed as the couple tendered an apology at the police station for their behaviour.
