COVID-19: 2 nabbed for forwarding fake messages

Chamarajanagar: Two people were arrested by Chamarajanagar police for forwarding fake messages relating to the novel coronavirus and creating chaos in the Gundlupet.
The arrested have been identified as Nagendra and Lokesh.
The duo allegedly spread messages on social media that a resident of the Gundlupet town was tested positive for COVID-19. Following the incident, The district health department had lodged a police complaint in this regard and the arrests were made based on the directions of Deputy Commissioner M R Ravi and SP H D Anand Kumar.
