Covid-19: 33 new cases in DK, 9 in Udupi; K’taka tally breaches 11k

Bengaluru: As many as 445 new cases were reported in Karnataka on Friday, June 26 taking the count of active cases in the state to 3905, the health department said in its bulletin. Bengaluru accounted for 144 of the new cases reported.
The state also reported 246 discharges and 10 fatalities in the last 24 hours.
As on date, 11,005 positive cases are confirmed and 6,916 persons have been discharged. The death toll has mounted to 180.
District-wise Ballari accounted for 47 cases; Kalaburagi (42); Koppala (36); Dakshina Kannada (33); Dharwad (30); Raichur (14); Gadag (12); Chamrajnagar (11); Udupi (9); Yadagiri (7).
Mandya, Uttara Kannada, Bagalkote, Shivamogga and Kolar reported six cases each, Mysuru (5); four each in Chikkamagaluru and Kodagu; three each in Bengaluru Rural, Hassan; two cases each in Vijayapura, Tumkur and Haveri; and one case each in Bidar, Belagavi, Davangere, Ramanagara and Chitradurga.
In Dakshina Kannada, 143 of the 519 total positive cases are active. 366 persons have been discharged and 10 deaths have occurred.
Out of the 1125 positive cases in Udupi, 1028 persons have been discharged while 95 remain active. Two deaths have been reported so far.
