Covid-19: 50% of candidates absent for KPSC Exam

Around 50% of the candidates remained absent for the preliminary examination for the Gazetted Probatitioners’ posts, conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) on Monday, Aug 24.

As reported by Deccan Herald, out of the 1,65,250 applicants for the 106 posts, only 83,716 (50.5%) appeared for the exam which also included 45 Covid-positive patients

The exams were conducted in Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Ballari, Belagavi, Davangere, Hubballi-Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Raichur

Also, special arrangements were made for Covid-19 positive students to write the exam.
