Covid 19: 9 new cases; state tally at 598, death toll at 25

Bengaluru: Nine new cases of coronavirus has been confirmed in the state taking tally of infected persons to 598 in the state. This included 25 deaths and 255 discharges.

Two cases each has been reported from Tumkuru and Vijayapura while Bidar, Bagalkote, Belagavi, Chikkaballarpura and Bengaluru account for one case each.

The test result of a 82-year-old man from Bidar (patient 590) who was adnitted on April 27 with complaint of SARI and died on April 28 is found positive for Covid 19. Meanwhile another 63-year-old man from Bengaluru (patient 557) is said to have died of non-Covid issue on May 2.
