Covid 19: B’luru accounts for 738 of 1105 new cases in K’taka; DK – 32, Udupi -18

Bengaluru/Mangaluru: Karnataka on Monday, June 29 reported 1105 new cases of coronavirus taking the tally of those infected to 14295 in the state.

Till date, 7683 persons have been discharged, including 176 today. The state death toll rose to 226 with 19 deaths today. Ballari accounted for 12 of the 19 fatalities.

District wise Bengaluru reported 738 cases Ballari 76, Dakshina Kannada 32, Bidar 28, Uttar Kannada 24, Kalaburagi 23; hassan & Vijaypura – 22 cses each; Udupi & Tumkakur 18 cases each; Dharwad & Chikkamagaluru 17 cases each, Chikkaballarpur -15 cases. Mysuru reported 6 cases.

Of the total 6382 active cases in Karnataka, Bengaluru itself has 3427 cases.

In Dakshina Kannada, of the total 697 positive cases 299 cases are active while 384 persons have recovered. The death toll in district is 14, which includes two deaths due to non-covid issues.

In Udupi, 1197 positive cases are confirmed of which 1045 are discharged and 150 are active. The district has reported two deaths.
