COVID-19: Discharges outnumber new cases in DK; Udupi reports 282 cases

Mangaluru: The number of discharges outnumbered the new coronavirus cases reported in Dakshina Kannada today (Aug 9).

As on Sunday, 132 new cases were reported while 195 persons were discharged. Out of the total 7,207 cases in the district, presently 3,305 are active case and 3,682 have been discharged. Six deaths reported today took the death toll to 220 in the district.

The new cases include 68 ILI cases, 11 SARI cases, 21 primary contacts of those infected earlier while source of infection for 32 persons is being traced.

Meanwhile neighbouring Udupi district reported 282 new cases today taking tally of those infected to 6,201.
