Covid 19: DK breaches 4k mark with 218 new cases

Mangaluru: The tally of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada surged to 4,214 with further 218 persons testing positive for the virus on Thursday, July 23.

The day also saw seven deaths and 118 discharges.

Out of total positive cases, 1,862 persons have been discharged after treatment while 2,253 cases are active.

Among new cases today, 36 are primary contacts of those infected earlier, 110 ILI cases, 16 SARI cases. The source of infection for 57 other persons is being investigated.

As per the district health bulletin, out of 31,068 samples tested so far 26,854 are found to be negative.
