COVID-19: DK declared ‘red zone’

Bengaluru/Mangaluru: The State government has declared Dakshina Kannada district as one of the ‘red zone’ in view of a spike in COVID-19 positive cases.
Extra measures are undertaken in red zones such as police making house to house visits to inform people of precautions and intensifying watch of people in contact with home quarantined persons.
Lockdown will also be severe in these zones.
Along with Dakshina Kannada district the State government has also declared Bengaluru, Mysuru, Uttara Kannada and Chikkaballapur districts as red zones.
