Covid-19: DK reports 7 new cases, Udupi zero cases K’taka tally breaches 9k

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 453 new cases of coronavirus, 225 discharges and five deaths on Sunday, June 21.
A total of 9150 positive cases have been confirmed of which 3391 are active. So far 5618 persons have been discharged while 137 persons have died, the health department said.
Districtwise Bengaluru reported 196 cases, Ballari -40, Kalaburagi & Vijayapura – 39 cases each; Mysuru & gadag – 18 cases each; Dharwad -15; Bagalkote -14; Bidar -13; Davangere, Uttar Kannada & Kolar – 8 cases each; Dakshina Kannada – 7; Mandya & Hassan – 5 cases each; Tumkuru – 4; Yadagiri, Chikkaballarpur & Haver – 3 cases each; Shivamogga, Raichur & Ramnagara – 2 cases each and one case in Chikkamagaluru.
As per the state health bulletin, 190 of the 425 positive cases confirmed so far are active in Dakshina Kannada district while 227 persons, including 26 today have been discharged. The district death toll stands at 8.
In Udupi, six persons were discharged today taking total recoveries in the district to 959. Presently 102 cases are active and two deaths have occured.
