One such viral message is now doing the rounds which claims to detect oxygen levels with the phone light and camera or fingerprint

Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, cyber law and security trainer, and professor at Sahyadri College of Engineering said that People fall prey to these kinds of apps quickly, because of Covid19 where good health and safety is of prime importance.
These apps ask to place our finger on camera to compute the oxygen levels which can help hackers to gain access over our personal details .He said that these apps can access our personal photos and SMS
Dr Anand Prabhu said that rather than relying on these fake apps one can easily buy an oximeter for Rs 1,400
