Mangaluru: Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel speaking to reporters at BJP office here praised the State and Central governments in their handling of the COVID-19 situation.

He stated the measures taken by the State government such as the announcement of Rs 1,610 crore schemes will alleviate the problems being faced in this crisis.

He added that already hairdressers, launderers and rickshaw drivers have been provided financial aid; electricity bills of small business have been exempted and Rs 2,000 have been deposited in the accounts of weavers.

He commented that politicization at such a time is not good, instead, people should be provided with confidence and assurances.
