Covid 19: K’taka reports 210 new cases, 12 fatalities

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 210 new cases of coronavirus and 179 discharges on Thursday, June 18, the health deaprtment said.
As on date 7944 cases of coronavirus has been confirmed of which 4983 persons have recovered. With 12 deaths today, the total fatality in the state increased to 114.
Of the 2843 cases that are presently active, 73 patients are admitted in ICU.
Among the new cases reported today 21 are Saudi returnees while 58 are interstate passengers. The 12 deaths reported today include eight from Bengaluru and one each from Koppal, Bidar, Vijayapura and Kalaburagi.
District wise Kalaburagi and Ballari reported 48 cases each followed by Dakshina Kannada 23 cases. Ramanagara reported 21 cases; Bengaluru – 17; Yadagiri- 8; Mandya – 7; Bidar – 6 Gadag – 5; Raichur, Hassan and Dharwad reported 4 cases each; Davangere and Chikkamagalur reported three cases each; Vijayapura, Mysuru and Uttara Kannada reported 2 cases each while Bagalkote, Shivamogga and Koppal accounted for one case each.
With 1074 confirmed cases of coronavirus, Kalaburagi tops the districts in positive cases followed by Udupi (1039 cases).
Udupi tops districts in number of discharges with 942 recoveries followed by Kalaburagi with 606 recoveries.
Of the 114 fatalities in the district, Bengaluru accounts for 51 deaths.
