Covid 19: K’taka reports 6128 new cases; DK, Udupi account for 446 cases

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 6,128 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday, July 30. The active case tally in the state presently stands at 69,700.
In the last 24 hours, 3,793 discharges and 83 deaths have been reported. Out of the total 1,18,632 coronavirus cases till date 46,694 persons have been discharged while the death toll stands at 2,230.
Of the active cases, 620 patients are being treated in the ICU.
As per the state health bulletin, Bengaluru reported 2,233 cases followed by Mysuru with 430 cases. Few other districts that increased the caseload includes Ballari 343 cases, Udupi 248, Bengaluru Rural 224, Kalaburagi 220, Belagavi 202, Dakshina Kannada 198, Dharwad 180 and Raichur 166 cases.
In Dakshina Kannada, the tally of active positive cases now stands at 2,800 while 2,561 persons have been discharged after treatment. Eight deaths were reported in the district today.
The new cases includes 27 primary contacts of those infected earlier, 80 ILI cases, 14 SARI cases, four overseas travelers. Source of infection for 73 persons is being traced.
