Covid-19 lockdown: Violators made to do sit-ups for venturing out in Kalaburagi

Kalaburagi: As many people did not obey the lockdown rules and ventured out despite the government orders, the city police here made the violators do sit-ups.
In a video that doing rounds on the social media platforms, a group of people who allegedly violated the lockdown rules were made to do sit-ups as punishment for venturing out in the open. The police were also beating the people and were heard warning them not to venture out onto open.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, March 24 announced a complete lockdown across the country for 21 days from Tuesday midnight, asserting that this is necessary for a decisive battle against the coronavirus outbreak.
