Covid-19: Officials conduct surprise inspection at schools in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Health department officials are conducting surprise inspections at schools in Dakshina Kannada to check if Covid-19 protocols are being followed on the premises.

Officials are checking whether the students are wearing masks and maintaining social distance during sports activities, also whether sanitizers are being provided at the entry point and sanitization of class rooms are being done.

The officials are questioning students whether their elders at home are vaccinated or not. Covid nodal officer Dr Ashok, said that as students obey their teachers, the officials will create awareness regarding vaccines through them.

He further said that the programme of school visits will continue in both urban and rural areas and as per the current plans, two to three schools are visited every day.
