COVID-19: Polali temple stops Teertha distribution, other rituals

Bantwal: The management of the Shree Kshethra Rajarajeshwari Temple at Polali has for the time being stopped the distribution of teertha (holy water) and the performance of other religious procedures and rituals such as the Brahmarpana, Teertha Snana and Kalasha Snana in the temple.
The management has also decided to initiate a mass awareness program on the spread of COVID-19. In this regard, many activities could be conducted. Banners stating the precautions to be taken to prevent the spread of the virus will be hanged around the temple.
A temple festival of 29 days long will start at the temple on March 15. A large number of devotees visit the temple during the festival.
The car festival of the temple has already begun.
