COVID-19: State govt extends lock-down till Mar 31

Bengaluru: The state government on Wednesday extended the lockdown period till March 31 due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in Karnataka.
The decision was taken at the emergency meeting held by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa earlier in the day.
Earlier on March 13 Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa announced lock-down of malls, cinema theatres, pubs and night clubs for a week, starting from March 14.
Apart from above, instructions were issued to stop all kinds of exhibitions, summer camps, conferences, fairs, marriage, sports and engagement events and birthday parties state-wide for a weeks time.
Today two more positive cases of coronavirus were detected in the state with the total number of cases going up to 13.
