Covid-19: State govt issues new guidelines for short term travellers from Maharashtra

The state government in a circular issued on Monday has announced fresh guidelines to be followed for short-term travellers from Maharashtra or those visiting the southern state for wo days or less by any mode of transport.
The short-term travellers should be asymptomatic such as free of fever, cough, cold, throat pain, fever, difficulty in breathing and need to provide a self declaration to this effect, the order said.
The guidelines have been drafted as per the recommendation of the state COVID-19 Technical Advisory Committee. Accordingly travellers will have to mandatorily carry COVID-19 vaccination certificate for both the doses, must undergo thermal scanning for fever on arrival. Apart from this they need to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols such as use of face masks etc during their stay in the state.
“Persons complying with the norms strictly may be exempted from mandatory RT-PCR negative test reports for the short duration of the visit,” the statement added.
