COVID-19 Sub Variant JN.1: K’taka’s first case detected in Ramanagar

Ramanagar: The state’s first case of COVID-19 Sub Variant JN.1 has been detected in Ramanagar district.
Reportedly, the infected individual is a student from the local engineering college. The infection was detected during a routine COVID-19 check-up at the primary health center in Byramangala village.
Ramanagara District Health Officer (DHO) Niranjan has confirmed that the affected student will undergo a two-day isolation period and receive necessary treatment.
The health authorities are closely monitoring the situation to prevent the potential spread of the mutated virus in the area.
