Covid-19: Udupi DC orders additional measures

Udupi: Additional measures has been implemented in Udupi by Deputy Commissioner (DC) M Kurma Rao M in order to control the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kurma Rao said that the number of people who can gather for meetings and celebrations are limited to 500 observing Covid protocol. Organizers should make sure the guidelines are maintained.

The cultural activities and celebrations of educational institutes should be postponed till January 15, 2022. The parents of school children below 18 years of age should compulsorily get vaccinated with two doses. Only people who have obtained two doses of vaccinations can be permitted inside malls and film theatres, directed DC.

Criminal action under the disaster management Act 2005, Karnataka epidemic disease Act 2020, and IPC section 188 will be taken against those who do not observe the directions, he warned.
