Covid-19: Udupi reports 13 new cases; Dakshina Kannada 17 cases

Mangaluru: Thirteen new cases of coronavirus has been confirmed in Udupi on Sunday, June 7 taking the tally of infected persons to 902 in the state. Dakshina Kannada also reported seventeen new cases and four discharges today.
A total of 239 new cases, 2 deaths and 143 discharges were reported in the last 24 hours, the health department said.
As on Sunday, Karnataka has 5452 confirmed cases of coronavirus of which 3257 cases are active. So far 2132 persons have been discharged while 61 deaths have occurred.
Of the 239 new cases, 183 are interstate travellers and 9 with international travel history.
Districtwise Kalaburagi and Yadagiri reported 39 cases each, Belagavi (38), Bengaluru (23), Dakshina Kannada and Davangere reported 17 cases each, Udupi (13), Shivamogga (12), Vijayapura (9), Bidar (7), Ballari (6), Hassan and Bengaluru Rural reported five cases, Dharwad (3), Gadag and Uttara Kannada two cases each while Mandya and Raichur accounted for one case each.
