Infected with Covid 19? Take second dose 3 months after clinical recovery

New Delhi: Based on the recommendations of National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID19 (NEGVAC), the Union Health Ministry recommended COVID-19 vaccination for all lactating women.
As per the new recommendations, which have been communicated to States/UTs, the second dose of COVID19 vaccination has to be deferred by 3 months after clinical recovery for anyone infected with Covid after the first vaccine dose.
Persons with any other serious illness requiring hospitalization or ICU care have been recommended to wait for 4-8 weeks before getting the vaccine.
An individual can donate blood after 14 days of either receiving vaccine or testing RT-PCR negative if suffering from COVID.
