‘Covid-19 vaccine for children soon’

Bengaluru: The Centre would soon take a call on finalizing a Covid-19 vaccine that can be administered on children, hinted Health and Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar.
Sudhakar said that the central government is contemplating on a Covid-19 vaccine for children and the vaccine is expected to be available in all states at the earliest, upon approval.
“While it is not very clear on how the Omicron variant will impact children, we are aware that it has the ability to spread fast,” he said.
Further, Sudhakar urged the public to cooperate with the government calling for strict compliance with all Covid-19 norms. “With public cooperation, we can quickly overcome all fears allayed by the new variant. Collective awareness and vigilance is a must to overcome Omicron concerns,” he said.
