Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra KV has declared new COVID-19 containment guidelines as well as travel restrictions for people coming from Kerala.
“Any mass habitated places such as hostels, hotels, homestays, resorts, malls and educational institutions where more than 5 COVID-19 cases are reported will be declared as a containment zone,” he said.
He added that all these entities must submit to the district administration the list of people employed by them, or studying in them in case of educational institutions, who are from Kerala.
“A COVID-19 test report that is not more than 72 hours old must be submitted to hotels by people coming to stay there from Kerala and students from the State must also be tested every 15 days,” the DC said.
“Violation of these rules will lead to legal action as per the Epidemic Diseases Act,” he warned.
