COVID-19: We are in this fight together: PM’s “Mann ki baat”

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, April 26 said that the war against COVID-19 pandemic has become people’s movement in the country and they are raising to the occasion to help each other.
In his monthly radio address Mann Ki Baat, Modi said, “This “people-driven” fight against the virus will be remembered and discussed in the future. I bow down to all of you,”
The prime minister also praised the ‘active’ contributions of the state government”
“People in cities and villages are involved in this fight. Some are feeding the poor, others are selling their land to raise funds while some others are contributing their pension,” Modi said.
He applauded the ‘restraint, penance, and sacrifice’ of people after he had announced lockdown extension on April 14.
