Covid outbreak in schools: CM convenes meeting today evening, to discuss preventive measures

Bengaluru: A meeting will be held today evening to discuss the precautionary measures to contain the spread of Covid, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
The meeting was necessitated by the recent rise in infections being reported from schools in Bengaluru rural and Dharwad and also in neighboring Kerala, he said.
Talking to newspersons here, the CM said the meeting would have health and covid experts in attendance. Containment measures related to the new Covid variant ‘Omicron’ will also be on agenda.
“The situation in the state will be discussed. Precautionary measures to be taken will be informed after the meeting,” he added.
