Vijayapura: The district administration has ordered to shut the government school for the next few days after a teacher tested positive for COVID-19.
Deputy Commissioner P Sunil Kumar informed that a teacher in Government Higher Primary School, Bolegaon village, Indi taluka had tested positive for coronavirus without any symptoms.
“The school is being sanitised today. Students who attended the classes of the teacher belong to 6th and 7th standards (Vidyagama). I have directed the District Surveillance Officer to test all the students and other teachers in that school.” he said.
The district administration has also instructed all those who attended the classes to be under home quarantine for the next few days.
