COVID19: Dakshina Kannada reports ‘ZERO’ daily positive cases since beginning of first wave

Mangaluru: For the first time since the beginning of the Covid first wave in India, Dakshina Kannada has reported zero new covid cases on March 25.
As per the Covid bulletin released by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, no new cases were found in the samples tested for the day. One person was discharged after recovering from the illness. The total number of active cases stood at 10.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,35,480 samples have tested positive for COVID out of which 1,33,620 have been discharged after being cured, the bulletin said. So far, 1,850 persons have lost their lives due to Covid in the district.
