Covid19: K’taka reports 4764 cases; DK, Udupi accounts for 443 cases

Bengaluru: The tally of total coronavirus cases in Karnataka increased to 75,833 with further 4,764 persons testing positive for the virus on Wednesday, July 22. The day also witnessed 1,780 recoveries and 55 deaths.

“Out of the total positive cases, 27,239 patients have been discharged and 1,519 deaths have occurred. Presently, 47,069 cases continue to be active and 618 among this are undergoing treatment in ICU,” the health department said in its bulletin.

Till date, 11,12,874 samples have been tested and 10,02,045 have turned negative.

While Bengaluru reported 2050 cases today, Udupi reported a spurt in cases. As many as 281 new cases, 34 discharges and one death was reported in Udupi today. The tally of positive cases in Udupi rose to 2,686 of which 1,765 persons have been discharged. Presently 910 cases are active.

Meanwhile Dakshina Kannada reported 162 new cases five deaths and 69 discharges, the district administration said in its report. Out of total 3,996 cases in the district, 1,744 have been discharged and 2,160 cases are active.
