CPM workers attacked in Manjeshwar allegedly by RSS

Kasaragod: A group attacked CPM workers of Manjeshwar division on Sunday, October 7th.  The injured workers were immediately taken to Kumbla Government Hospital and are receiving treatment.

The injured have been identified as CPM Manjeshwar division secretary D Booba, his wife Harinakshi, CPM Varkady local committee secretary Naveen Kumar, Mahesh T and other activists identified as Akshay Kumar, Dilshith, Nithin Charan Raj and D Babu.

According to the CPM sources, the party workers were returning after attending a function at Poyye Chamundeshwari temple when a group of men came on three to four bikes and attacked them. The CPM workers accuse the RSS activists for the attack.

A protest march seeking justice for the injured workers of the party has been organized by the CPM at Majibail on the evening of October 8th.
