Cross-border cannabis oil trafficking; two arrested

Kasaragod: Two youths were arrested for transporting cannabis oil know to be worthy of several lakhs of rupees, by Sub Inspector Ajith Kumar and his team of the Kasargod City Police Station. The accused were nabbed under the Chemnad Bridge of Chandragiri Lake.
The arrested duo have been identified as Tyre Faizal (31), a resident of Naimarmoola and Mustafa (23) from Kumble. The arrested were trafficking the cannibis oil given to then to be handed over to a client, for smuggling it abroad.;
The operation
The Kasargod City Police, based on a definite tip-off conducted an operation and seized the narcotic substance while nabbing the accused. The two arrested had reached below the Chemnad Bridge and the receiver was supposed to meet them there. But instead, they were greeted by the police. 450 gram of cannabis oil was seized which is worth Rs 9 lakh in the international market.
Fayaz, who is currently arrested is said to be involved in ganja peddling and other cases. The police are digging deeper into the network and say that there are others involved
