Bengaluru: Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill-2020 was passed unopposed as Congress members staged a walkout in protest of the bill on Wednesday.

Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah condemned the bill and also held a CLP meeting to discuss the issue, reacting to this, BJP National Secretary CT Ravi said, ” Siddaramaiah is supporting cow slaughterers and smugglers who steal cows from poor people’s houses. He is anti-poor.”

In a series of tweets, CT Ravi said, “We need not learn about democracy from Congress party. People are well aware of the anti-democratic agenda of your party. You say you have reared cows, grazed them, and cleaned dung, still support cow slaughterers.”

“You say your party follows Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology. Even Gandhi had said that if he comes to power, he would ban cow slaughter. You will not remember Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology as you are following fake Gandhis. BJP is making Mahatma Gandhi’s dream come true,” he added

CT Ravi further said, ” Many poor families earn their livelihood by selling cow’s milk. Their livelihood has been ruined by cow smugglers. You and your Congress party cannot see poor people’s tears”
