Udupi: A customer who bought a samosa from a roadside stall near National Highway in Udupi was shocked to find an iron nail inside it.
Informing about the same, social worker Nithyananda Olakadu, urged food safety officials to conduct inspection on the quality of food being served to customers visiting hotels and street food stalls.
Nithyananda, in a press release, said that there are several instances of iron nail, staple pins and cockroaches found in fried eatables, including samosa. Hence officials should inspect the quality of food supplied by the several street food stalls operating in the district here.
