Customs officials gold worth Rs 17.54 lakh seized at MIA

Mangaluru: Customs officials at Mangaluru International Airport on Tuesday seized 364 grams gold (24kt) valued at Rs 17.54 lakhs from a Dubai arrival here.
The passenger, a native of Kasargod had arrived via Air India Express Flight No IX384 at around 0205 hours on October 12.

The gold in paste form was pasted with gum inside a brown-colored thick sheet which was concealed between two layers of the carry bag of the passenger.
An offense case has been registered.
