Customs officials seize gold worth Rs 18 lakh at MIA

Mangaluru: Gold worth Rs 18 lakh was seized by the Customs authorities at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) from a passenger who arrived at the airport from Dubai on Tuesday, November 19.
It is gathered that the passenger who arrived with 483.57 grams of Gold on an Air India flight, was held during security check. The gold was found on the body of the passenger.
The officials arrested the passenger and seized the gold. Investigation in this regard is underway.
