Bengaluru: Days after AIADMK chief VK Sasikala Natarajan was brought to the Parapanna Agrahara prison, convicted serial killer and Jayalalithaa fan KD Kempamma aka Cyanide Mallika, was shifted to Hindalga prison in Belagavi.
Sources said that Cyanide Mallika’s cell was next to the cell where Sasikala was put up.
Reports state that Mallika was shifted to another prison as some considered her presence a threat to Sasikala’s life.
‘Cyanide Mallika, arrested in 2008, said to be the country’s first woman serial killer, was convicted for the murder of six women. It is said that she identified and befriended rich women frequenting temples in and around Bengaluru and killed them using cyanide after which she escaped with their jewelry.
While some reports state that Mallika posed a threat to Sasikala in the Agrahara jail, contradictory reports state that the duo shared a cordial relationship. Sources say that Mallika would not allow Sasikala to stand in the queue during meal time, instead would bring food for her.
Incidentally, Sasikala shares a cell with another murderer, Shubha Shankarnarayan who was convicted of murdering her techie-fiancé in collusion with her boyfriend and his aides in 2003, it is learnt.
