Cyanide Mohan: Verdict in two more cases postponed; hearing concluded

Mangaluru: The hearing in two more cases of rape and murder lodged against serial killer, Cyanide Mohan has been concluded by the Court. However, the Court reserved its judgment on Wednesday and is likely to announce it on January 17.
The two cases are in connection to two girls who went missing from within Vittal police station and Bantwal rural police station limits respectively.
The judgment regarding these cases was expected to be delivered on Wednesday but the judge postponed it to next month.
Cyanide Mohan is yet to be tried in 13 more cases of rape and murder and so far, 7 cases have been decided. Mohan had allegedly raped and murdered at least 20 girls between 2004 and 2009. He was awarded the death sentence in three cases on 2014. For the fourth case he was sentenced to a life term.
This year on Feb 24th, the Court passed its judgment on his fifth case and sentenced him to a life term.
