Cycle-tempo collision: School boy suffers major injuries, condition critical

Udupi: In a cycle-tempo collision, a boy named Aditya P Shettigar suffered major injuries, here on Tuesday.

Reportedly, foreseeing the weather, the district administration had declared a holiday expecting heavy downpours. It is said that Aditya was unaware of this. As usual, he had left for school on his bicycle. At this point in time, a speeding Bolero collided against the bicycle. Due to the impact, Aditya suffered major injuries.

The locals rushed to the spot and admitted him to the nearby hospital. Later, he was shifted to Manipal Hospital for better treatment.

According to the sources the condition of Aditya is critical.

Meanwhile, the locals have blamed the driver for his rash driving.

A complaint has been filed by social activist Vishu Shetty at the Udupi Traffic Police Station.
