Mangaluru: Several parts of the coastal districts of the State received good rains on Saturday morning due to the approaching Cyclone Tauktae.
It started to rain in several parts near the coast from Friday night.
The heavy rains resulted in water-logging in several areas in the city.
Gusty winds and high waves at the sea also accompanied the rains.
Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea and an NDRF team has already arrived in the district.
The Meteorological Department has forecast good rains for another two days.
