Bengaluru: The family of IAS officer D K Ravi, who had committed suicide in 2015, has sought re-investigation by a separate wing of the CBI.
“We aren’t happy with the CBI investigation. I repeat that my son was murdered. We want a re-investigation by a separate wing of the CBI,” Gowramma, D K Ravi’s mother told reporters here on Friday.
She said she hadn’t received documents enclosed with the CBI report.
“We’ve submitted applications over 30 times seeking enclosures of the CBI report, but there has been no response,” she said.
“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and ministers K J George and D K Shivakumar are involved in Ravi’s murder and they had influenced the CBI in furnishing the wrong report,” she said.
“There are efforts to project that my son hanged himself for personal reasons, which is not true,” she said.
In response to a question, Gowramma said, “There is heavy pressure on me to contest the Assembly election. If the people of Kolar decide to field anybody seeking justice for my son’s death, I will support that person. I haven’t taken any decision yet. At present, my priority is to seek a re-investigation into my son’s death.”
