Dakshina Kannada reports 75 new Covid19 cases

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada reported 75 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, July 4 taking tally of those infected to 1085, excluding 10 cases from other districts.

Out of the total positive cases, 557 cases are active while 516 persons have been discharged.

In last 24 hours, 75 cases, 13 discharges and three deaths have been reported. The death toll in the district stands at 22, including two deaths due to non-covid issues.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 15,270 samples have been sent for tests till date, results of 14316 samples are received and of this 13221 have turned out negative

Those infected today included 11 overseas travelers, 29 cases with influenza like illness (ILI), 6 cases of SARI, 24 are primary contacts while one is a secondary contact of those infected earlier.
