Amidst the persistent heavy rainfall in the region and the issuance of a Red alert by IMD, the Dakshina Kannada district administration has extended the holiday for schools and PUC students in the district.
In an official notification issued on Tuesday, the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada announced that all Anganwadis, primary and high schools, and pre-university colleges, will remain closed on July 26.
In the event of any emergencies arising due to the heavy rainfall, the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner urged residents to reach out to the control room. The control room can be contacted through the 24×7 toll-free number 1077 or the number 0824-2442590.
