Dalai Lama arrives in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama arrived in the city on Thursday and was received at the airport by the district administration. Tibetan traditional dance outside the airport was also performed.

Dalai Lama was led to the city with zero traffic and will be staying at a private hotel in city.

On August 30, he will be participating in the Akhil Bharat Catholic School Association’s national convention to be held at Fr Muller’s hall. Later he will remain in the city and leave to Bengaluru at 7 am on Aug 31st.

In the backdrop of the arrival of the Dalai Lama, widespread police cover throughout the city has been intensified. Recently, a preparation meeting was organized in this connection under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil.
