While it’s not uncommon to see crocodiles in the river, its surroundings, and on roads, a surprising incident occurred late Monday night at the ESI Hospital in Dandeli when a baby crocodile was found inside the hospital.
The hospital staff were initially shocked and scared upon seeing the baby crocodile. ESI Hospital’s security personnel, Tukaram, promptly and safely captured the baby crocodile and released it back into the river.
This incident indicates that the crocodiles from the Kali River in Dandeli are now venturing into the city’s heart, reaching as far as the ESI Hospital.
