Udupi: Darshan of the presiding deity at the Shri Krishna Matha here was restarted on Sunday after the lockdown of nearly two and a half months.

Paryaya Shri Eeshapriya Theertha Sripada decided to allow darshan at the temple between 2 pm and 6 pm every day in the first stage.

About 1,160 devotees received the darshan on the first day.

All the devotees had to maintain physical distances and wear masks for the darshan.

The offerings such as panchakajjaya, laddus etc., were available to the devotees. Sevas and meals were not started.

Additionally, the ‘Kattige Muhuratha’ of the Paryaya ritual was also performed on Sunday.
