Dasara elephants to reach Mysuru today

Mysuru: The elephants which will be participating in the Dasara festivities will reach Mysuru Palace grounds today.

The Dasara elephants will be accorded a ritualistic welcome by dignitaries, including ministers.

The ‘Gajapayana,’ began on September 2 from Veeranahosahalli forest to Mysuru. The Dasara celebration will be held between October 10 to October 19. 

Elephants will be housed on the premises of Aranya Bhavan and their caretakers will also be provided required arrangements in city.

The elephants will participate in the Dasara festivities. Jamboo Savari will be held on October 19.
